Shawn van Zyl
CEO
With nearly two decades of expertise in Risk Management, Shawn leads OHS Consultants as its visionary CEO, steering the firm towards continued excellence and innovation in the health and safety sector.
Shawn's illustrious career began in risk and consulting, where he spent six years with one of the world’s largest corporate risk firms, mastering the complexities of information security, business management, and finance.
His qualifications in these areas are complemented by hands-on experience managing one of New Zealand’s largest privately owned electricity networks, which highlights his capability to oversee significant infrastructural projects and teams.
Bruce Saunders
Senior Consultant
Bruce has a background in the oil and gas industry with a focus on sub-sea operations, which include commercial diving and ROV operations on an international basis.
He also has a work history within the NZ Fire Service and has owned an Asbestos Removal company.
With his high risk work international background, Bruce understands the importance of robust management systems, adoption and executice, to underpin organisation top level performance.

Bruce has completed his BSI Lead auditor and a member of NZISM.
